    3. Sandra, I am new to the list and have learned there a bodacious number of Jordan's out there. My Jordan name is pronounced like the River. The Jordan's I seek are from VA and KY. I didn't even know about the GA Jordan's, of which there are apparently an abundance, until recently. And to my chagrin, since I live in GA my ignorance has been a bit of an embarrassment. Even though most of the Jordan's mentioned are not my connections I have very much enjoyed reading about all of the other Jordan's. But most importantly, I have enjoyed the people that I have met and greatly appreciated all the help along the way. Good luck to you! At least SOMEONE is listening! LOL! I really miss the days when this list was active. <sigh> Several years ago, when email and the Internet was faiirly new to most of us, there was so much exctiement and activity on all the mail lists and now, the novelty has worn off, and it is difficult to get people to respond. :o( Back then, it seemed like connections and information just POURED in! However, since it all peaked, it just trickles in now. Also, thanik you for letting me know that Brittain was still there in 1810, I had missed that. I'm actually interested in the Zachary JORDAN that was in the 1800 Randolph Co, NC, census, so I'm trying to find out about the other JORDANs that were there, too. My working theory at the moment is, they went to Clarke Co, GA, after 1800. (Evidently, Brittain didn't go, though, if he was still in Randolph Co, NC, in 1810.) If this is true, then I'm thinking this might be MY Zackery!!! If so, this is a significant find for me!! I have not been able to find him prior to his marriage in 1807 Clarke Co, GA, and have never been able to connect him with anyone!!!!! At least finding him in Randolph Co, NC, (if this is the same one), I can assume he is probably related to the other JORDANs that were there. I really wish I could find others that were descended from these Randolph Co, NC, JORDANs. Thanks again for your help! 3. Hi, I am Collene Mount, and some of my Jordans are from VA, NC, GA and Alabama. My Alabama Jordans descended from VA--moved to NC and my immediate family moved to SC prior to moving to Alabama. Almost all of the Jordans that were in VA are related. We descend from Samuel Jordan who helped settle Jamestown, VA and from his son Thomas Jordan, born in 1600 in England.
