HI Cheryl, I'm not familiar with the MS JORDANS, though I am interested in them. I haven't done much MS research so I am not familiar with the location of Hinds Co. I have a copy of a MS land grant issued in the 1870s?? (can't remember date without looking), to a Zachariah R JORDAN. I've always been interested in this, because that is the same name of my GGG grandfather who lived in Tennessee. Sorry, but LEE is my married name and I haven't spent much time researching my husband's line yet. I can tell you, however, it is possible there could be a connection. My father-in-law came from Simpson Co, MS, before moving to Louisiana where he currently lives. Have you ever searched the book "Descendants of Solomon LEE"? I have a copy of it.
