Collene, I forget -- has your family been DNA tested? (mine has -- our Clifton Jordan tested for us, and we are group 8136, and I am the spokesperson for Clifton, who is elderly and not on-line). Please give a little more info on your line to remind me which Jordans are yours. Please see my posting just previous to this for my main Jordans! Thanks much. My Alabama Jordans descended from VA--moved to NC and my immediate family moved to SC prior to moving to Alabama. Almost all of the Jordans that were in VA are related. We descend from Samuel Jordan who helped settle Jamestown, VA and from his son Thomas Jordan, born in 1600 in England. Faye, My Jordan family began in 1418 with Thomas Jordaine of France, there are several Jordans in France and they fled to England, UK, Scotland, etc to get away from the religious persecution in France (they joined the reformation)--I can email you the line of jordans from Robert Jordaine of England and Samuel Jourdain (eventually) spelled Jordan -- I will just email you the information--My Jordans came to Virginia Samuel came in 1610 to Jamestown and his son, Thomas born 1600 in England came in 1623 aboard the Swan. I emailed you the connection Jack A. Jordan, He is the one that did most of the research on the Jordans. That is where Alainep@comcast.com got all of her information. You can email Alaine at the above link.
