Dot--I have a Jordan roadblock in Greensville VA in the same time period...Have you had your line DNA tested? Frederick Jordan seemingly appears out of nowhere in Greensville/Brunswick area b. around 1730. He's not related to the Arthur Jordan line as proven by DNA testing--which most of the other Jordans in that area are. My line is JG10 on the DNA study. Frederick Jordan's line also ended up in GA --but so did a lot of people in that era. What are orphan records? I'd be happy just to find another Jordan in Greensville that is not of the Arthur Jordan line. (and YOU're hoping that you ARE connect through Arthur!) His parents MAY have been Meredith JORDAN (grandson of an Arthur JORDAN 1627-1699?). Meredith m. Margaret ACRES but I don't know that anyone has proven it the connection. We do know they had a son named Williamson and so did Benjamin.>>
