    1. Re: [JORDAN] James "Jim" Jordan
    2. Sandra, It's definately a possibility, were your family ever in Indian Territory/Cherokee Nation? It's totally possible James' parents lived elsewhere after he was born in Indian Territory/Cherokee Nation as they weren't with the family or near them in any of the censuses I've found (1900 to 1930). And, James' two sisters were supposed to have lived with them at some point, but would be prior to 1915 or so since that's when the aunt was born who didn't know them, but her mother told her about them. Your ancestor's wife was named Martha, and that doesn't fit with the information we have that James' mother was Sarah (which Sallie was also used as a nickname), but that's only as that aunt remembers also, so it could be. I just wish I could find some documentation or someone who knows, but none of the family seems to know more than I've put here. ;o( Thanks, though, and I'll sure hang onto this information to see what I can come up with! Thanks!
