How do the DNA test work and who could be a candate for DNA testing. I do not know any live Jordan children off spring. My 2nd great grandmother gave birth to my 1st great grandfather and to my 1st Great Grandfather sister. I know of some live distant kin from the daughter family of my 2nd Great Grandmother. Where could I find family group sheets of Jordan families there in Barnwell County, Bamberg Count and Colleton County. Any help is welcomed. I just recenty did a dna test for my Witherington line, since I have no brothers-- I had to get a first cousin to do mine. It is for the Y Chromosone test and it has to be from man to man. The women have the X Chromo. HI Colleen, How did you talk your first cousin into the DNA test? I only have 1 male JORDAN first cousin who is not interested in genealogy, so I don't know if he would agree to something like that.
