    3. Received answer from FT-DNA concerning upgrading the two tests in question. Looks like Bennett was too busy to completely read the original question. So, that's why there is an upgrade available. If you need an upgrade, please contact them again, but it won't do much good in this case unless both parties upgrade to the 25 marker test. There are two members who match on the 12 marker test except for one marker (off by one). It was my understanding that a sequence change could take place at any generation (mutation) and that these two individuals could be related. But to make sure, they must upgrade to the 25 markers. When one of them contacted you to find out about upgrading, you told him you would not do this unless you heard from him again. My question - should I discourage people in this situation to not upgrade, or the reverse. Of course, you have the experience with one number mismatches, so would you please give me some input.
