My husband, Josh's "Gran'day" Jordan is the one I would choose. He helped raise Josh for his first three years, and every summer after that. James Luther Jordan, II was born November 17, 1919 in Richmond, Virginia, and died August 30, 1989 in Richmond, Virginia. He married Vernorma Willoughby Collie on June 28, 1943 and they had two children. He worked as an Engineer and was, from all accounts, a good, caring and intelligent man. So, yes - he's the Jordan ancestor I'd like to see at our table. But...then again...William Whiteside Jordan would be a nice one - so I could ask him who his parents were!!
