Mittie's father was Frederick Augustus Jordan. Frederick A.'s parents were Frederick W. Jordan and Catherine Micou. Frederick W"s parents were Reubin and Ann Marks Jordan. F.W.'s parents were Reubin and Jannett Harvie. Then : Mathew and Jane Ware Jordan ; then Samuel and Elizabeth Fleming Jordan; then Thomas and Margaret Brasseur Jordan; then Thomas and ??????Jordan. I have sent the families etc to d-i-l.. I went online and looked up your Gray Jordan m Peggy Chandler. It would definitely have to be early on. Fleming was the son of Matthew JORDAN and Judith Scott WARE. Reuben JORDAN was his brother and Rueben (m Jeanette HARVIE) was my gggg-grandfather. Rueben JORDAN was the father of Mortimer Harvie JORDAN and Mortimer was the father of my gg-grandmother, Martha Gaines JORDAN. You are also right about the DNA thing. It would have to be your brother, father, son, or any male cousin with the surname of JORDAN. It would be better to have a direct male relative. How did you get to Ca. all the way from the south?
