    1. Re: [JORDAN] LISTOWNER POST - Thanksgiving Dinner
    2. The Jordan that I would invite would be my 4th great-grandfather, David JORDAN, born September 1794 in Pennsylvania, I would love to ask him about his parents and grandparents and where they were from, where he was born and who his siblings were. I would also like to know a little about each of his 3 wives, their names where they were from, and who their parents were and also the same about each of his children. He had to have been a hardy sort of man. He was the father of 18 children, with the first 12 from his first 2 wives, (he raised 7 of the 13 to adulthood) and the last 6 from my 4th great-grandmother, Alvira BLOOM, born 1816, Niagara Co., NY. He lived in Seneca Co., in 1823 and was in Niagara Co., NY by 1830, and moved to Steuben County, Indiana in 1851. He died in April 1873 near Angola, Indiana. I would love to talk to him and Alvira about what it was like when they were married and then about the trip to Indiana. What were their fears and were the Indians a great concern and what precautions did they have to take? Also I would ask Alvira about how she coped with being a step-mother to 13 children.
