    1. Guests for Thanksgiving
    2. Jan Bohler
    3. I would love to have several of my Jordan (Jurdan) ancestors for Thanksgiving or any other time. First, would be my grandfather, Papa Jordan (John Jordan Knox) he died when I was 7 and is the one I think of everytime I hear the song by Randy Travis, 'He Walked On Water'! I was the first grandchild and if I could just remember all of the things that he talked about then!! The country roads that we went on in Columbia County, Georgia. I would also want my Mama Knox to be with him because they are the most perfect loving couple I have ever seen together. I have a picture of them that just makes me think of love, respect, honor, togetherness and everything a marriage should represent! Second, his great grandmother, Mahala Jordan, and her parents - Miles Jordan and Mildred Willingham. I have questions as to who Mahala married the first time, he would have been a Jordan also and she had 3 children by him. My search for Mahala let me to find a cousin who has been one of the greatest finds of all of my research!! We feel that Mahala brought us together!! Mahala married Hensley Landers in May 1838 in Columbia County, Georgia and had 3 more children by him. She died after the 1880 census. Would love to know when, where she is buried, and why I feel such a close connection to her!! Third would be my Papa Jordan's mother, Mary Frances Jordan, she was a beautiful woman and died when my grandfather was about 12 years old. They said that my mama and I looked like her but when I saw a picture of her, I may have some of her features but will never be and never have been as beautiful as her! Sorry so long, but that would be my perfect guest list!! Thanks, Jan
