If I could invite any ancestor to Thanksgiving dinner, I would invite Jemima Hagel Jordan, my Dad's great grandmother, because she was a very interesting character who smoked a corn cob pipe, according to my Dad, and because I want to know what happened to her husband who disappeared during the civil war and who his parents where for sure. I would want to hear all about the other relatives who lived nearby in Wayne County, Illinois.
