    1. [JORDAN] Samuel Jordan's will
    2. I have been going through all my old files, and this is what I came up with. The reference to Samuel Jordan's will is on some Xerox pages I have that were sent to me 25 yrs ago. There is no name on the pages as to what book they came out of. But, but a process of elimination, and the letters from the researcher who sent them, I think they are from a book by Lyle K.Williams of Fort Worth , TX. I do not have the name of this book! He quotes the Perry and Worth Ray's book, and some others, so I know it is not theirs. This is not a Jordan book, but they are included. I hope I am correct abt these pages, but I think it is Williams work. He says of Charles Jordan, that the book The Family History of Charles Wesley Jordan of Georgia (1839-1911), by John Wesley Russy, offers proof that Charles was the son of Samuel. (1679-1719). Mr. Russy lived in San Antonio, TX. He also mentions that the will of Samuel names two daughters who were minors and unnamed in 1718. So there were other papers, or an administration of the one Kim Ivey sent to the list. Lyle was not descended from Charles, so he did not go into any more detail on him or Samuel. He does have his death date right, which Valentine did not But he, like some others, call Samuel "Col." and I don't find any evidence that he was a Col., being Quaker, and I have never found any military service for him. He did die fairly young too! His son, Samuel, Jr. was a Col., so maybe he confused them. So...out there somewhere is more to Samuel's probate. Does anyone know what book Lyle Williams wrote? Carleen
