I sent off for my test kit today. Several weeks from now we will have a test result for the Arthur Jordan line (11th generation). This line has been proven over a 30 year period by myself and has all of the required documentation - deeds, court records, bible records back to 1773, etc. which trace my family line back to Arthur (1627-99). I will be ordering the 25 marker test for $169 since I am sure of the line. If I take the 12 marker test ($99) and wait to update to 25 markers, then I pay 90+90 or $180. Norman Jordan, who is a board member of the Rev. Robert Jordan New England line, has agreed to be co-coordinator of the DNA Jordan project at FT-DNA. His line is completely documented also - back to the 1600s. The deal offered by FT-DNA is a 12 marker test for $99, which is a great price compared to what I've seen otherwise. All we need to make the bargain price possible is a total of $600 spent on the Jordan group. Norman and I will have taken care of more than half of th! e requirement with our orders. What we can do as coordinators (administrators) of the Jordan project is to place kit orders for Jordans, which will then be sent to the address given on the order with invoice, or billing information. Please give the FT-DNA web site a day or two to get this ordering information in place for the Jordans. I will get back to the list as soon as I have this information so others can place their order.
