    3. There was always a joke about the say you say Jordan in our area of South Carolina. If you lived in town, you were a Jordan, and if you lived in the country, you were Jerdins. Those in the country said if you lived on a dirt road you were Jerdins. But they were Jordans if they lived on paved road. We are definitely Jor-dans. Call us Jerdin when I was a child, you would get told. LOL It has been Jordan since the beginning of my research which is around 1600's in the area I live in now.
