too was a Jurdan when I went to visit my grandparents on their farm at Bethel in Perquimans County and at the home farm in Winfall where my grandfather was born and burried. In fact it is a strong memory because my grandfather Married a much younger woman ( my Grandma Margaret who always had a wonderful chocolate cake when we went to visit ) after my father's mother passed away and she always called him Mr. Jurdan.
