    2. Hope someone can help me. In 1770 a Jacob Jordan lived in Quebec, Canada. The American Genealogical Research Institute, Arlington, VA, states that Jacob Jordan immigrated to America on board ship Phoenix in 1751. NY State Secretary of State, Calendar of NY Colonial Manuscripts; endorsed land papers in the office of the Secretary of State 1643-1803 published Harbor Hill Books, PO Box 407, Harrison, NY 1987, on page 508 -- dated Nov 8, 1770 = Petition of Colin Drummond, John Livingston and JACOB JORDAN all of Canada, in province of Quebec, merchants in behalf of themselves and their associates, for a grant of tract of land on the south side of Oushtenique or Onion River, extending along the same three miles above the first fall, in length of each side six miles, and in extent on the rear equal to that in front on said river..... May 31, 1771 - Petitions granted. Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about this JACOB JORDAN?
