    2. My Jordan Brick Wall: Elijah (Eli) Jordan b. abt. 1836 probably NC m. Lucy Jane Parker 07/09/1857 in Rowan or Davie Co. NC I have seen it listed in both places. He was listed on the 1870 Davie Co. Census as a farmer age 34 his wife Jane was 33 and listed as a house keeper. Also shown was a son George age 7. There were 2 other children born later Robert L. Jordan b.1872 and Mary J. Jordan b. 1876. Their oldest son George Washington Jordan b. 09/04/1863 d. 01/04/1929 was my great grandfather. He married Mary Alice Sloan Spry 07/28/1886. They had the following children: Dora M. Jordan b. 08/10/1886 d. 03/10/1895 Myrtle Bell Jordan b. 02/13/1888 d. 10/21/1961 Arlie Jordan b. 07/14/1890 d. 11/20/1957 Benjamin Franklin Jordan b. 04/08/1892 d. 09/24/1965 Charlie H. Jordan b. 04/11/1894 d. 09/29/1918 Charlie was killed in Bellicourt France while serving in WWI and received the Distinguished Service Cross. Mary Jane Jordan b. 07/29/1896 d. 04/19/1980 Unnamed Girl Jordan b. 05/25/1898 d. 05/25/1898 George Dewey Jordan b. 10/20/1899 d. 03/13/1987 Baby Boy Jordan b. 05/05/1902 d. 05/05/1902 (twin) Esther Jordan b. 05/05/1902 d.05/30/1902 (twin) Adam Lee Jordan b. 08/09/1903 d. 08/20/1973 (twin) Theodore R. Jordan b. 08/09/1903 d. 12/27/1911 (twin) Baxter B. Jordan b. 01/16/1907 d. 03/18/1993 Baxter played baseball for the following Major League teams; New York Giants, Washington Senators, Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and Philadelphia Phillies. His career batting average was .299. He was the only baseball player to pinch hit for Babe Ruth in his career. Hope someone can connect to this and give me some info on Elijah (Eli).
