It has been a struggle to find the father of my ancestor - James Edward Jordan! Now I am searching for the parents of his father…..he is not on any Census in TN before 1850 - that I can find……he is appx. 22 in 1850 -- appx. 18 when he married in 1846. By Apr 1859 - one child was born in TX - in 1861 and 1863 two children were born in Arkansas - he disappears and Lucinda reappears in TN on the 1870 Census with the children. Walter R.
