While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this announcement which might be of some interest to someone on this list. This does not relate to the Jones line that I am researching personally. Nancy Giles Shower Honors Accorded To Recent Bride Post nuptial honors were accorded Mrs. Arthur Payne, the former Miss Helen Jones, last Thursday evening when a group of friends gathered at the home of Mrs. Lois Sommers, 614 East I street, for a miscellaneous bridal shower. The bridal couple drovde to Las Vegas, Nev., where they were married on May 25. Their wedding has been a secret until just recently. The newlyweds reside at 621 East A street. The new Mrs. Payne is employed at the First National bank, her husband is advertising director for the American Federation of Labor in Southern California. Cocktails and snacks were served when the guests first arrived and the hostess spread a lighter lunch later in the evening. Piano selections by Mrs. Sommers and a community sing were enjoyed. Those present were the Mesdames Thurston Berger, Norman R. Kruggel, Frank Terrington, L. W. Howell, S. H. Taylor, Vincent Lucas, D. P. Cardinal, J. W.
