I have seen data in this message board and other internet sources indicating Wyatt Hawkins Jones (born 1822) was the son of John Hawkins Jones (born 1787) and Mildred R. Mitchell. Other children are James Jones born 1801 who married Rebecca Coleman in 1819. Mary H. Jones born 1837, William Jones born 1839. I can't find anyone who can tell me where they got this info. Also, It seems more logical based on the dates of birth of the children that James was the son of John and Mildred and the others were the children of James and Rebecca. Wyatt Hawkins Jones is my great great grandfather. Among his 11 children were Mary, William, James, Wyatt......others were Lucy, Chalmers, Genatus, Susan, Hallie, Josephine, and Adrian Dale. The family settled in Marshall Co., MS. Any clues????? Sandra
