The following Jones family can be found on in the 1870 census for Panola County Mississippi. The exact routing is: > Ancestry.co -> 1870 Census -> Mississippi -> Panola County -> Unknown > Townships -> Image 401. James 29 Nancy 22 William 1 I have absolutely no idea if the family is yours. The father was born in AL, the mother in GA, and the son in MS. I was scanning for a James Jones with a wife Nancy and this family fell out. This is possibly my great grandfather and family, but I am not sure. If so, they were in Tunica County MS by 1871 when my grandfather was born, then in Texas before 1900. Thank you . You got me , I don't know if they are either . All I know is William Jones of Green Co., GA. anything other than that and I'm a lost goose . I did check 1850 Panola Co., MS census but none that the age would fit having a daughter born 1803 .
