Searching for parents of ELLA L. JONES b. 1855 Philadelphia, PA. d. before 1880. ELLA m. 1873 HENRY G. STRONG in Phila. PA and had two daughters Nettie and Harriet. HENRY m. 2nd. ELLA PINE. ELLA L. JONES might have had middle name of LINDSEY because that was the middle name of daughter HARRIET. HARRIET told her son that she had relatives in Delaware County, PA named JONES. Hello everyone, I am wondering if any one has any info on this Henry C. Jones that married Martha Matilda Davis in Marshall County, Ky in 1867. I am seeking to know if they had a child by the name of Elijah Luster (Lester) Jones b. appr. 1871. I was told that Elijah's father, (unknown) fought in the Civil War but never came home from it. This couldnt be true due to him being born in 1871. But I am wondering if his mother might not have been previously married to a Civil War vet that died in the war and remarried a Jones. This Martha Matilda Davis was suppose to have been married to a James Madison Smith fought for the Union and he was killed one month into his service. She then remarried Henry C. Jones.
