The 1880 census is online. Jackson's brother Thomas Jones was then age 22 (b ca 1858). This indicates that the family should appear on both the 1860 and 1870 census listings. The baby boy Benjamin is only 3 years old, seeming to indicate that the father of the children probably was alive as late as 1876 or 1877. Franklin Co MS records might even contain an estate settlement.
