Several McVay families were living here that moved into the area from NJ about 1778. Peter is in the 1810 census in Morris Twp., Green Co., PA. Tax records show that he moved about 1814 to Euclid Twp., Cuyahoga Co., OH, near what is now Cleveland. He owned a farm. Early records of the First Presbyterian Church show that Agnes, Caleb Eddy, and Benjamin were members. Peter may have had an illness which caused him to draw up a Will in 1828.
