Does anyone have information on John Jones age 55 b. MD 1850 Ohio census. Summit County, Copley Twnp. Roll M432_732 p.291. I believe that this John Jones is the brother of my 2nd great grandfather Samuel Jones b. MD also of Summit County, Copley Twnp. Also in this 1850 census, on the same page as John Jones b. MD is a younger John Jones b. OH who I know for a fact is the son of my 2nd great grandfather Samuel Jones b. MD By 1850 Samuel Jones b. MD had moved to Ft. Madison, Iowa, Lee County with the remaining unmarried children. It appears that his wife (according to my father, Samuel's wife was Catherine) had died, as she isn't in the 1850 Iowa census with the rest of the family. In the 1840 Ohio census there is an older female in the family who could have been the wife and mother Catherine. By 1850, Samuel Jones' oldest daughter, Mary, wife of Charles Kinch/Kench, had moved with her husband and family to Lineville, Wayne County, Iowa, Grand River Twnp. They later moved to Kansas.
