hello .i have a jones in my family david william jones merried elizabeth ann shewfelt in canada and came to us into mi around 1864 two of their children were born there. george s and esther ann my grand mother. they then left mi into iowa where two children albert and laura was born elizabeth s sister m. samuel t jones they went back to canada around 1881 i found them in st joseph canada. my great grand parents are buried at westfall oregon along witt 4 members of the family. the children so far are george jones,b 1864,esther ann 1867, Mi. albert, charles ,laura,james, mary,fannie, b in mo .and milton b in co .they moved to oregon around 1902. still looking for others.my grandmother was esther ann jones. tureke@aol.com

I'm looking for the parents of my gr-gr-grandfather, Charles Alexander Jones (1817-1900). On the certificate for his second marriage in 1867, he listed his parents' names as Charles and Mary Jones, giving their place of birth as Allegheny County, Virginia, although it wasn't formed until 1819. I know nothing else about them. It's possible that Charles Alexander Jones had two brothers, John A and Oliver L, and a sister, Frances Ann.
