I am looking for 2 different JONES families from Oregon Co,MO. The first one is Elijah Thomas JONES,b.11 Apr 1862, d. 1 Dec. 1915. His first spouse was Mary MEDLOCK, married on 1 Dec 1879. His second spouse was Sarah JONES, married on 10 Feb, 1884, in Oregon Co. His third spouse was Lillie B. MITCHELL. Elijah Thomas JONES and Sarah had 3 children - Clarence Melton JONES (my grandfather), b. 18 Feb 1893 in Thayer, died Nov 1978 in Kansas City, Charles E. JONES, b. Mar 1889 and Gertrude May, b. 22 Sep 1895 and d. 26 May 1984. Clarence Melton married Beulah WILCOX on 18 April 1914. She was born in 1895 in McFalls, MO and died in 1919. They had one child - Carl (Carol) Thomas JONES in 1917. The 2nd family is Sarah JONES who married Elijah Thomas JONES. Her parents were James (John) JONES, b. 1833, d. sometime before 1880, and Margaret (Peggy) b. Dec 1831 and died sometime after 1902. To make matters more complicated, their other children were Thomas b. 1860 and Missouri b. May 1856. Both families lived in Thayer, MO.
