Searching for parents/siblings of Richard JONES who gave the following affidavit in his application for a pension for his service in the Revolutionary War. "Barren County, KENTUCKY, 12 April 1833... that he was born the 9th of May 1745...that he was born on Rapahanock River Essex County Virginia." He also stated that he was drafted twice, first in Brunswick Co., VIRGINIA and later in Henry Co., VIRGINIA. He moved to Warren Co. KENTUCKY about 1806/7, then to Allen Co. KENTUCKY and finally to Barren Co., KENTUCKY about 1820. His only known child, Sampson JONES, married Sarah MILES on 20 June 1793 in Franklin Co., VIRGINIA.
