Deb. My James Jones (the one I actually know about) was born to Wyatt Hawkins Jones and Mary Cornelia Goodwin abt 1864 in Marshall Co., MS. He married Edna Ethel Coleman in 1885 in Marshall Co., MS. They had 2 children Teamious Hawkins Jones and Carrie Lee Jones. Teamious was my grandaddy. I don't know much more about him because when Carrie was born Edna died and James ran off with some woman the family didn't approve of and left his children for the relatives to raise. James sister Susie and Edna's brother, Garrett were also married and they had the 2 children most of their lives. No one ever spoke of James to my mother. Until I told her otherwise she was under the impression the her dad was orphaned because his dad (James) had died shortly after Edna. She didn't know he had run off with this other woman. I don't know James middle name. There was another James Jones in the family. My James had a brother named Chalmers Burroughs Jones. Chalmers named one of his sons James Adrian Jones. This James was probably born around 1882 possibly in Desoto Co. or Marshall Co., MS. Hope some of this helps. Sandra
