While doing volunteer data entry for the Whittier Area Genealogical Society newspaper database I came across this obituary which might be of some interest to someone on this list. This does not relate to the Jones surnames that I am researching personally. Nancy Lulu E. Jones Last Rites Set Mrs. Lulu E. Jones, 76, of 422 S. Comstock Ave., died Tuesday (8 Oct) and the funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lanier's Colonial Chapel. Mrs. Jones came to Whittier from Tulsa, Okla., in 1936 with her husband, Ira Jones. He survives her and she is also survived by a son, J. L. Jones of Whittier. Mrs. Jones was a native of Unionville, Mo. Interment will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park. The Whittier News, Whittier, California October 10, 1957
