Hello Charles, I am beginning to think all the Joneses suddenly materialized in about 1860. My great-grandfather is as far back as I can go. He is William Louis Jones, born in 1866 in Rockdale Ga, (according to information in his son's draft registration for WWI) but that is about all I can find on him. He moved (at some time ) to MS and married Emma Jester (she died in 1947 in Mathiston, MS) and had a houseful of kids but there seem to be no records on any of them. I sure wish I could find some Joneses in Mississippi who had a connection to these people.
