Dear Listers, Here are some of my Jones: Below are the children of Thomas and Mary JONES. All were baptised at St. Johns Old Haymarket, Liverpool, between 1822 and 1825. Margaret JONES, Sarah JONES, Evan Lloyd JONES, Edward JONES, Idwel Howell JONES, John Tudor JONES and Thomas Gywnedd JONES. Of these I only know about Idwel Howell. He moved to Wales, first Flintshire and then Denbigh, where he was still trading in the 1880s. Idwel H. was married to Margaret (-?-) and they had one son, also Idwal Howell JONES. Two other JONES families from Holywell, Flintshire, UK, are not directly related to the Idwal Howell JONES, as far as I know. Abigail JONES married Benjamin JONES, they had a daughter Sarah Ellen JONES who married Idwal Howell GUNTHER, son of Charles GUNTHER and Mary GITTINS. Mary's sister Isabella married Idwal Howell JONES junior son of the above Idwel Howell JONES senior. I don't think any of the JONES family have any representatives in the States or Canada but you never know. Certainly there are a couple of interesting names and with middle names at that. Any bells ringing anywhere? My links are with Idwal Howell GUNTHER, son of Charles GUNTHER of Swiss nationality, and Sarah Ellen JONES. One of their sons was Charles Edward GUNTHER and I am his son.
