Jones researchers, I am entering my Jones family in hope that someone is related. John Jones was my 3rd great grandfather. His mother was a widow when she m. Richard Fowler in SC c. 1776. John had following brothers & sisters: Mary, Nancy, Jesse & Samuel Jones Richard & Lydia Jones Fowler had following children: Lydia, Joshua, Charity & Elizabeth Fowler. In late 1700's the family moved to what is now Caldwell Co., KY. John m. Mary Story, dau of William & Dorothy Jones Story. Dorothy was dau. of Andrew & Elizabeth Jones. These families all came to KY from SC. John moved with most of his family when the Indian Session in Alabama was complete to what is now Fayette Co., AL in c. 1820. John & Mary Story Jones had following children: Jesse, John S., Nancy, Martha Jane, Mary Ann, Henry Russell, Giles W., James Riley, Lewis Calloway & Andrew Jackson Jones.
