My elusive ancestor was Jackson Allen Jones, date of birth or death unknown. His youngest child was born in Georgia in 1872. He was married at least twice, with children from both marriages. The 1880 census of Bartow County, Georgia shows Celia Jones as head of household and a widow. North Carolina is shown as the birthplace of Jackson Allen Jones. Children from the first marriage included a John S. Jones and William Perry Jones. William Perry married JoAnna McCravey in Bartow County, Ga in the early 1880's. Family legend is that Jackson's father was known as "Billy Pap" Jones. Billy Pap was supposed to have been a judge during the Civil War. Legend is that Jackson had at least four brothers, Jesse, Joe, Darrel and John. Any help is appreciated. RoseMary
