I am searching for information about my Great-grandfather, Willis Washington Jones. I am hoping to find someone who might know what his father's name was, and what Kentucky family he belonged to. Willis' mother was Elizabeth Laird Jones, and Willis was born in 1853, and by 1860, he was on the census with his mother and step-father J.R.U.Crabb and half-siblings in Barren, Hart, Edmondson County, KY area. Elizabeth Laird was born in Hart County and they lived in Barren County as well, then later moved to Kansas. She died in 1912, and is buried here, and her husband J.R.U. and daughter, Bettie moved back to Barren County, KY and they are both buried there in the Glasgow Cemetery. She married Thomas Lewis 1560 in Van, Montgomery, Wales, and they had 8 children, all born in Wales. Their grandson, Edmund Lewis, and his family were the first in my line to come to America in 1634, to Massachusetts. Any tie-ins?
