Hi, Do you have a copy of Thomas Jones' death record or an obituary? My Great-Grandmother (maiden name Jones, but her family was from Ohio) also died in 1918 in Tipton County. Her death record lists place of death, usual residence, date of birth, age, name of husband/wife, birthplace, names of father and mother, cause of death, duration, place of burial, and name of undertaker. In the 1910 Windfall census, your Thomas was also listed as 20 households (vist 67 vs. visit 47) away from my Jones/Warner family. 1910 Federal Census: East Park St., Windfall City, Wildcat Twp., Tipton County, Windfall, Indiana; ED# 195; April 16, 1910; sheet 3A; visit 67/67 Jones, Thomas E., head, male, white, 70, widowed, KY, KY, KY, own income, can read/write, owns house - free 1900 Federal Census: Windfall, Wildcat Twp., Tipton County, Indiana; ED# 132; June 11, 1900; sheet 10; visit 216/228 Jones, Thomas E., head, white, male, Feb. 1840, 60, married 2 years, KY, KY, KY, landlord, can read/write, owns house - free ----- Sarah E., wife, white, female, Sept. 1864, 35, married 2 years, 0 children, IN, VA, IN, none, can read/cannot write (next door) Windfall, Wildcat Twp., Tipton County, Indiana; ED# 132; June 11, 1900; sheet 10; visit 217/229 Jones, William F., head, white, male, Jan. 1871, 29, married 6 years, KY, KY, KY, day laborer, can read/write, owns house - mortgaged ----- Rachel B., wife, white, female, Oct. 1870, 29, married 6 years, 1 child - 1 living, IN, OH, OH, none, can read/write ----- Ruth, daughter, white, female, Sept. 1894, 5, single, IN, KY, IN, none 1880 Federal Census: Wildcat Twp., Tipton County, Indiana; ED# 132; June 18, 1880; sheet 35; visit 318/328 Jones, Thomas E., white, male, 41, head, married, farmer, KY, KY, KY ----- Emely L., white, female, 37, wife, married, keeping house, KY, KY, KY ----- Eliza C., white, female, 16, daughter, single, milliner(?), KY, KY, KY ----- Jame, white, female, 14, daughter, at home, attending school, KY, KY, KY ----- Sarah A., white, female, 12, daughter, at home, attending school, KY, KY, KY ----- Will F., white, male, 9, son, at home, attending school, KY, KY, KY ----- Garret, white, male, 11/12, July, son, KY, KY, KY 1870 Federal Census: Lusbys Mills, Lusby Mills Precinct, Owen County, Kentucky; August 5, 1870; sheet 8; visit 56/56 Jones, Thomas E., 30, male, white, farmer, $800, $730, Kentucky ----- Emily L., 25, female, white, keeping house, Kentucky ----- Mary E., 8, female, white, Kentucky, attending school ----- Eliza C., 6, female, white, Kentucky ----- Mahala, 4, female, white, Kentucky ----- Ada, 2, female, white, Kentucky Stacey ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phillip Jones" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 10, 2005 3:14 PM Subject: Re: [Jones] JONES BRICKWALL DEMOLITION DERBY > Yes Jerry, my husband's GGgrandfather Thomas Edward Jones( relatives who are > dead now) say they think he was born in KY.
