Does anyone on the list have an idea as to who Ann/Anne Jones'/James' husband and parents might have been. I'm looking for candidates. My great-grandmother's (Leona Montgomery) death certificate says that her parents from in GA and were Dock Montgomery and Laura Ann Jones. I found their GA marriage certificate. I also found Laura and her mother Ann Jones in the 1850 census in GA. The 1850 census said that mother Ann Jones was age 50, born about 1800 in NC. The census listed two daughters, Laura Ann (age 19) and Martha E. (age 16) Jones. In the 1840 census, there was also an unnamed older son. In the 1850 census, Ann is listed between Hiram Montgomery, age 54, born in SC and John Davis (age 22) and Elizabeth Davis (age 24), both born in GA. I may have more information if you think you might know who this Ann Jones' husband and parents were.
