After searching for a couple of years I finally found my Stephen & Hiram Jones in 1850 in Clay County,Illinois. I had been doing my searches in the counties around Lawrence & Carter counties in Kentucky since that is where they were in 1840 & 1860. I finally broadened my search and there they were hiding up north.
