Hello Ron. Would you believe that my JONES family has lived in Clark Co., KY for almost 200 years. This is my childhood home and a few generations of my grandfathers are buried here. I know a great deal about the JONES families that resided here. Have you located Hiram in the 1860 census of KY. It list each family member by name, age, and the place of birth of the head of household. His children should be listed. There are two Hirams in the 1850 census, and this group is part of my family. They originally settled on the waters of "four mile creek" and were great adventures, moving a total of 8 miles in roughly 200 years! (From their farm to the town of Winchester, KY) Hiram was the son of John Jones, "the baby brother" to my Nicholas Jones. Nicholas was born in Caroline Co., VA 1762 and moved from Spotsylvania Co., VA to join other family members at the South Elkhorn Baptist Church then in Fayette Co., KY. I would suspect we are "cousins". I have a copy of the 1860 census for Clark Co., but I cannot put my finger on it at present. I will try to locate it. Hope this is helpful. Jerry. (Presently living in Danville, KY approximately 50 miles from Winchester. See, we JONESES of Clark Co., KY are adventurous! )
