May 1894 (?) 1910, Calhoun County, GA., District 1123 BRAZZEL, Will,age 50 (?), married 27 yrs., Farmer Ida, age 41 Benn, age 15 Als (?), age 14 In the 1930 Randolph Co., GA Census, William appears as a widower, and a boarder in the home of Mrs. Willie Hooks and family. He is listed as having been born in GA. However, Ida is still listed in the household of Perlie Mae BRAZELL, in Holmes County FL. William and Ida's children: Susie Brazel, b. 1885, m. unknown, d. unknown Gus Brazel, b. 1888 d. date unknown, married to Willie Bascome Perkins Aubary Gus Brazel is their eldest child. Ben B. Brazel, b. 1896, d. 1963, married date unknown to Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Yelverton. Allen Brazel, b. May 1897. d. before 1930, married Pearlie Mae Grant(?), who is said to have been born in Coffee Co., AL. Im pretty sure all the BRAZELs were born in Georgia. Ben stayed in Georgia Gus went to Sante Fe, New Mexico after WWI Allen moved to Holmes County FL and the Largo, FL area, and died before 1930. Ida was still in his widow's household in 1930, Holmes County, FL. Ben B. and Lizzie Yelverton Brazel's children: Kenneth, b. 1915, d. 1999, married Mildred _______ Walter James, b. 1920, d. 198?, married Eugenia ________ W. B. Hi Gary, I did a quick search for an Ida Jones for you in the 1870 census. The is 1 listed in Clayton Co., GA in the Jonesboro GA post office. She is in household # 129 131, page 18. Daniel Jones 29 farm laborer born GA., Fannie 23 keeping house born GA, Charles 4 b: GA, Ida 2 b: GA, Willie 3/12 b: GA, and a female whose name appears to be Angie McCowen 10 at home b: GA. Hope that's your family you are looking for--at least it is a good clue. There are 82 Jones' listed for Clayton Co in the 1870 census. Let me know if I can look up anything else for you.
