Hi, I am trying to trace the family of my g-g-grandmother, Christiana Jones. She married my g-g-grandfather William S. Fredrick in 1863 in Pocahontas, Randolph Co., AR. At the time of their marriage, Christiana was 31 (b. about 1832 in AL) and William S. Fredrick was 43 (born about 1820 in AL). I am fairly certain William had been married previously and had children from that marriage. I am also pretty certain he remarried after Christiana Jones Fredrick died in 1865 and had 2 more children with the third wife. William and Christiana had one known child: my g-grandmother Mary Ellen Fredrick. William S. Fredrick joined Captain Ballard's 30-Dau Volunteers Nov. 17, 1861 at Pitman's Ferry, Randolph Co., AR. Two men named Jones, living then in Little Black Township, Randolph Co., AR, also joined at the same time. This was 2 years prior to William's marriage to Christiana Jones. I am hoping to find info on George M. Jones and Joseph B. Jones, in the hope of tracing Christiana Jones. At. 31, she was unlikely to be marrying for the first time, and I am trying to find out if she might have been a widow of one of the two Jones men, or one of their brothers.
