Chris, If my information is correct Stephen Jones born 1750 in St. Mary's, Md., is the father of my GG Grandfather Stephen Jones it would be great if you could find information on his birth. Records show the older Stephen settling in what would become Harlan County, Kentucky in about 1792 and the younger Stephen being born there in 1793. Most researchers of this line claim Ambrose Jones of NC is the older Stephens father but he would be the only one of 10 children who wasn't born in NC or Virginia. I have been told that the court house that held the records for that period was destroyed during the Civil War.
