My Brick Wall is Uriah S. Jones b. abt 1795 N. C. traveled to Georgia and married Mary Trice in 3 Jan 1818 in Jones County Ga. Later moved to Chambers Co. Ala. I know his genealogy from this marriage on down to me but would like to know his father, mother and brothers and sisters.Any help from any Joneses would be appreciated. Henry Jones b. abt 1787 died bef 1830 Lincoln Co., GA Married to Mary "Polly" Sullivan dau of Mark Sullivan b. abt 1750 Henry and Polly had these 2 daus we know as they were named in Mark Sullivans will: Eleanor "Ellen" b. 1809 and Melinda. NOW to my problem: I am trying to connect my Travis Jones born 1808 GA to this family as I find him living in HH of Francis Fleming brother in law of Eleanor "Ellen" Jones Fleming in Ashley Co., AR... 1850 Both Fleming boys were born in Lincoln Co., GA. Mother, Mary Sullivan" Jones, is living in HH of Eleanor Jones Fleming also in Ashley Co., AR.........1850 I have not been able to find any other possible parent for Travis. Anyone? ~Sue~

Hello Betty I am not related to them that I know of. I grew up in Tallapoosa County Ala. and was transfered to Cookeville in 1988. I do not know them but if they live her I am sure they are good people. We got here retaired and decided to say with 3 of our 4 children and 9 grandchildren.So it is hard to move back to Ala and leave them. HI Charlie, There are probably some of the JONES and BURCH descendants still there. I haven't found any yet. We do know some went to CA. Have been in touch with them. The JONES scattered almost everywhere from Gilmer Co., GA. I moved back to Coffee Co., TN, from FL., to be near my 4 ch and 5 g-ch.---4 boys and 1 girl. Could your Uriah Jones had a daughter named Sarah born about 1820ish? Or could one of his sons married a girl named Sarah? Sarah has children in 1860 and a married daughter that lives beside her. Sarah doesn't have a husband listed in 1860 but does marry Mr. Stafford between 1870 & 1880. Sarah Jones Stafford is buried (1896) in Mobile Cemetery in Fannin County, GA. I long to find her family. Sharon My Uriah did have a daughter by the name of Sarah but her birth date was abt 1848. Uriah had 11 children and I will list them but none had wives named Sarah. 1. William A.M. Jones b. 1819 2. James G. Jones b. 1821 this is my line 3.Eliza G. Jones b. 1826 4. John C. Jones b. abt 1829 5. Mary Ann Jones b. abt 1834 6. Lucinda A. Jones b. abt 1836 7. Thomas A b. 1838 8. Robert J. abt 1829 9.
