Hi List, My brick wall is Jonathan Jones born about 1775, in North Carolina I don't know the county he was born in but I believe two of his sons were born in Davidson County. There names were John born 1826 and Henry born 1822. Jonathan married Keziah Smith in N.C. they had several children before moving to Pike Co. Ky . John Jones my great-grandfather married Mary Lions/Lyons on June 15, 1856. On January 4. 1869 he married Malinda Maynard born 1848. She was his second wife. I believe Mary was my great-grandmother because of the age of my grandfather. His name was William Lazarus Jones. most people called him Lace. He ran a general store on Beechfork Wayne Co. W.V. when he married my grandmother Nervesta (Bessie) Ramsey. In the census I have found my grandfather listed William and Lace Jones. Can anyone help me over my brickwall? Dear Carol, I search for Sarah JONES born about 1820 and lived her adult life in the Blue Ridge area near Polk County TN and Fannin County GA. Raised her children there but has no husband listed with her 1840 or later. Did your Jonathan have a daughter named Sarah born about 1820ish or did one of his boys marry a Sarah? I would be happy to hear from you.
