Gayle, I have never heard of the book and if you had a little more information regrading it would be great. I have so many John Jones in my 2 Jones lines it's hard to know if there is any connection. Patti, I found the book at the Newberry-Saluda Regional Library, 1300 Friend Street, Newberry, SC, and was able to copy it; it is 97 pages in length, and was compiled in May 1975. She got much of her information from her aunt, Anne Dunbar Jones (1890-1972). It states this/my John Jones was born about 1743, presumably in Wales, coming to Chester Co., PA, with his parents about 1750. (This comes from family and is not documented; other descendents say he was born 1743 in Cane Creek, Orange Co., NC, son of Richard Bright and Miriam (Coppock) Jones. I have asked for sources, but as of yet have not received any.) My Jones lineage is John and Margaret (Benson) Jones, Elijah and Anne (Miles) Jones, Whitfield Benson and Anna Simpson (Mote) Jones, and Oscar Kelsey and Laura Helen (Jones) Lewis.
