Hi, Since your 2nd ggFather lived in Greensboro, North Carolina, it might be possible that the Cumberland that he is talking about might be Cumberland County, North Carolina which encompases Fayetteville, Spring Lake, Ft Bragg and Pope. Maybe that is a good place to start. I live in Spring Lake, so that is why I thought that it could possible be in North Carolina. Let me know if there is anything that you might want looked up at our library. The only thing that I can think of is the city directories to look at.
