Jeanene, I found the family also in the 1900 census in Kansas City, MO Year: 1900; Census Place: Kansas City Ward 7, Jackson, Missouri; Roll: T623 862; Page: 4B; Enumeration District: 63. His father was James Jones, couldn't quite read the mother's name, but it may be Euna. There are other siblings.
