Looking for info on L. Ethie or Effie Jones b 1876 maybe in Titus County, Texas. She married William Ben Noblin lived in Titus County, Texas till 1900. In the 1910 census they are in Choctaw, Co. Ok. Looking for the names of her parents. Kim
Hi Everyone, My Jones ancestor is from Vermont. His name was Fred Rockwell Jones, son of Ellen Clarissa Griswold, who was b 8/2/1833 and d 5/17/1898. His father was Alverton Jason Jones, b 6/29/1830, and d 11/4/1870, both in Cornwall, VT. They were m 3/5/1855. Fred Rockwell Jones was b 12/23/1864 in Shoreham, VT and he m an Anna Miller of St. Johnsville, NY 9/15/1890. We do not know where he went after that, or if he had any children. Fred Rockwell Jones had 3 brothers. Alverton Griswold Jones b 6/6/1859 in Shoreham, VT, m Ada Shattuck 12/24/1883 and d 12/31/1950, George Ashley Jones b 2/4/1861 in Shoreham, VT, d 11/23/1862, Clayton Wilber Jones (my grandfather) b 11/20/1866 in Shoreham, VT, m 1. Flora Eva Frost 3/5/1890 in Sudbury, VT, She d 12/5/1911, and Clayton Wilber Jones remarried a Katharine Matilda Griswold, b 4/21/1879 in Felchville, VT. They were m 12/30/1914. I have been trying to find a paper trail for Fred Rockwell Jones. He was the Black Sheep of the family. His two brothers gave him money to make himself scarce.
