Hi Gayle.. do you by chance have a area in SC where your twins are from? I have a set of twins from Samuel Jesse Jones, b 1769 and his wife Rebecca Dalrymple. They are Ephriam C and Lewis Dalrymple Jones, born January 1794. Twins are cyclical and it's possible your Jones is a descendant.. My Jones line is from the Newberry Laurens area of South Carolina, just north of Columbia.. My brick wall is my ggrandfather: James W. Jones, born November 14, 1868 in Missouri. He married Mary Ann Hoover of Ark on March 21, 1892. They had 7 children including my grandfather: Oliver Benjamin Jones, born July 07, 1896 in Donaphin, Shirley Twp., Ripley Co., Missouri. He married Carrie Etta Austin of Harper, Logan Co. OH, on June 06, 1914. They had 6 children including my father: Thomas Loya Jones, born January 09, 1921 in Logansville, Logan County, Ohio. He married Bessie Faith (Faith B.) Coffman, of Piqua, OH, on November 25, 1943. I am their only son. If anyone recognizes this lineage, I would like to compare notes. Sandy, Elijah and Elisha Jones were born 19 Jan 1786 in Edgefield Co., 96 District, SC; they were the 8th and 9th children of 12 born to John and Margaret (Benson) Jones. Other children were (1) Jane (1772-1777), (2) William (1774-1777), (3) David (1778-abt 1780), (4) William (1780-1791), (5) Sarah (1782-1783), (6) David (1783-1845), and (7) Jonathan Shelby (1783-1833)(also twins), (10) Benson (1788-1834), (11) Susannah (1789-1859), and (12) John Jones, Jr. (1792-1842). All were born on the parents' plantation south of Newberry, but some later moved to Newberry. There might be a connection; do you have a connection with any of the above?
